FAQ
Is ColorCraft free?
Yes. ColorCraft is completely free to use, with no account, no signup and no limits on how many palettes you generate.
Can I use generated palettes commercially?
Yes — colors themselves can't be copyrighted, so any palette you generate here is free to use in commercial projects, client work, websites and apps.
How are harmonies computed?
With HSL color-wheel math: complementary shifts the hue by 180°, analogous uses hues 30° apart, triadic spaces three hues 120° apart, and monochromatic varies lightness while keeping hue and saturation fixed.
Does my uploaded image leave my browser?
No. Your image is drawn to a small canvas and analyzed locally with k-means clustering. Nothing is uploaded to any server.
What's the difference from a contrast checker?
ColorCraft generates palettes for design inspiration. To verify that text is readable on a background, use ContrastCraft, which checks WCAG contrast ratios.
